"STOP SUICIDE"

Colonel Monaco with Patriot Outreach Colonel Monaco

'Patriot Outreach' mission is to reduce the suicide rate of our Military & Vets. Please visit the Patriot Outreach Web Site.

According to a Veterans Administration Web Site, 18 Vets commit suicide every day! The repeated tours of Combat increases the # of PTSD causing more suicides.

September 2010

This months Veterans Forum Program is pleased to have two Veterans of the Korean War, who are members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Fresno, CA. Honor Guard Fernando Jaque & Chaplain Richard Flores talked about their lives before joining the Military & finding themselves in Korea. This year is the 60th Anniversary of the Korean War and was taped on the Anniversary date, the 25th of June 1950.

Veterans Forum Magazine is in two segments this month. First up was Vietnam Army Vet & Work Source Vet Rep Dennis Mannick with two Vets seeking employment. Second was Cathy Davidson who is the VA Rep for Minority Veterans. This conversation proved to be informative & interesting. I am sure that most Vets are not aware that the VA provides a Minority Rep!
